1、Introduction to automated disassembly: 

Automated disassembly consists of two parts. Module cutting and disassembly by manipulator. Automated cutting and disassembly by image and coordinate positioning.  

2、 Introduction to the module disassembly process:  

 This process is aimed at the layout of the disassembly process for power battery modules, which is used for the echelon utilization of power batteries; 

The process is based on the design of a lithium power battery module, which is eventually disassembled into: 

Single module—testing, direct echelon utilization 

Single cell—testing, direct echelon utilization

End-of-life batteries—crushing and recycling

This process adopts the modular assembly line layout. The disassembly process is completed through collaboration of semi-automation and manual work. 

3、 Module process flow:

 Module disassembly process: 

1.  Lifting: The module to be dismantled is lifted onto the speed chain line; 

2. FPC cutting: Cut the FPC manually; 

3. Buffering: Buffer station; 

4.  Rivets breaking: Break the module rivets with a hand-held drill to loosen the fixing rivets on the side panel of the module (the station is equipped with jack-up rotation; after it is rotated into place, the module will be clamped tight by the module clamping mechanism before drilling); 

5. Side and end panel disassembly: Manually place the disassembled side and end panels to their designated locations respectively;

6. Battery cell disassembly: Manually remove the surface gasket attached to the battery cell; 

7. Connector cutting: Cut the connector on the module with the manually assisted cutting mechanism; 

8. Cell removal: Manual carry a single battery cell to the module sorting conveyor line.
