Previously, China's decommissioned solar panel dismantling process is relatively simple, easy to produce waste residue, exhaust, etc., can not effectively separate the valuable components, energy consumption at the same time, there is a high level of environmental pollution.

On the other hand, the solar panel recycling process requires several key steps. In order to extract and reuse some of the materials, and in order to realize the circular economy model as soon as possible, we need better end-of-life design, better processing, and better recycling infrastructure.

For emerging technologies to be truly sustainable, it is vital that there is global agreement that key materials can be extracted when a product reaches the end of its useful life. There are opportunities to design emerging technologies with the circular economy in mind from the outset. Waste should be viewed as a resource that maximizes benefits for society and for truly sustainable technologies.
